Wedding season is finally here and seems like everyone is flocking to department store dress sections to find something to wear. For those of us with champagne taste on a beer salary let me introduce to you The Dress Xhange. You can rent brand name dresses for special events for around $40 to $60 for a 3 to 5 day period. Don't want to rent? Then SELL! Make a little extra cash from your old special occasion dresses to purchase a new one. It's a win win either way!

New Shoes PLEASE!
I basically live in flats year round, with some sandals throw in during the summer months. All of my flats are looking a bit dingy and worn lately so it's time to re-stock my shoe inventory. I'll take all of these in a size 7 1/2 please. Thanks!

Fashion Blogger: Kenza Zouiten
*Sigh*, Oh to be a 19 year old half Moroccan swim suit model living in Sweden working for MTV and have their own shoe line. Kenza Zouiten's blog makes boys drool and girls green with envy. But she's too sweet to hate, which probably explains all of her fashion fanatic fans.

How To Train Your Dragon IMAX 3D
This was such a cute movie and i'm so glad I saw in IMAX 3D instead of the regular theatre. What can I say? I'm a 22 year old kid who wants to fly on a dragon. :)
Christina's back?

So Christina's making a comeback with a new album ("Bionic" June 8th), a new song ("Not Myself Tonight") and now a new video to go with it. Now before I go further I want you all to know that I love Christina. She satisfied my teeny bopper days with "What A Girl Wants", my wild child side with "Dirrty", and her last cd "Back to Basics" was full of emotional love ballads that could turn anyone into a love sick puppy. Still I fear she's pulled a JLo, a.k.a spending too much time away from her career and too much with her family and kids. I'm not anti-family I'm just saying you can't leave the spotlight for too long and expect everything to be the same when you come back.
My skepticism comes from this video.. I remember an early interview of Lady Gaga on the Today Show by Hoda & Kathy Lee where they asked her what it was liked to be compared to Christina Aguilera- Well look how the tables have turned! Crazy outfits, loads of lesbianism and sex? This video has Gaga written all over it. Not to say she's the only one allowed to act like this, I mean girls like Beyonce, Rihanna, Britney and Christina have been pushing the envelope for years, it just seems like lately Lady Gaga has helped female singers take it to a whole other level.
Her new song is growing on me slowly, but I think her future success as a re-crowned super diva depends on the success of her new album. I guess we'll see.. I'm rooting for Xtina. :)

Meet Me Half Way
Been listening to a lot of BEP lately. Still love this song.. the video is pretty crazy though!
MAC: Pret-a-Papier
So I was very intrigued by Mac's latest collection, "Pret-a-Papier", when I saw the promotional photos for it. It looked crafty, delicate and sweet. The color palette consists mostly of brown, coral, and beige and offers a natural look that could be worn by anyone. I've been trying to stay away from make up stores and websites lately (not very well might I add) but I had to purchase SOMETHING from this collection.

So instead of buying an eyeshadow like I usually do I opted to purchase one of the two nail polishes created for the collection. "Originality" is a coppery metallic polish with large flecks of gold in it. My usual Photobooth snapshot didn't really do my nails justice, so I also attached swatch photos from Temptalia so you could really see how fabulous this color is. I'm so in love with it!

GIRLS ROCK! > Summer Series
So I officially have tickets to see Paramore with Tegan & Sara, Rihanna with Ke$ha, and the queen herself: Lady Gaga. This is going to be one fun summer full of badass bitches. Just sayin'.
Out with the old, in with the NEW!
I am totally doing this! So Zoya nail polish company has started a program where you can send in your old nail polishes in exchange for new ones from Zoya. Zoya already creates vegan friendly polishes (no formaldehyde, toluene, dibutyl phthalate or camphor) so of course they'd want you to properly recycle your not so earth-friendly polishes. How it works is you have to go to their website and fill out a form, you can exchange a minimum of 6 bottles (but up to as many as you want) and they replace bottle for bottle with a Zoya one. There is a small shipping/processing fee of $3.50 a bottle but it's a small price to pay when Zoya usually costs $7.00. So go pick out your new shades! Zoya will be running this exchange program through June 30th so you have plenty of time to sort through your nail polish collection.

An Education.
I have a bunch of Oscar nominated movies on my Netflix que and I just finished An Education. It was so incredibly good. I loved Carey Mulligan who plays a 16 year old who falls in love with a man, Peter Sarsgaard, who is in his early 30's. She's living a boring life in London in the 1960's and planning to go to Oxford in a year until this boy (or should I say "man"?) comes along. He takes her to bars, concerts, restaurants, and even Paris. The whole thing makes me want to smoke pink cigarettes and walk around Paris.. But i'll probably just settle on downloading the soundtrack. Everyone should rent it.

HOUSE FOR SALE!
So I found pictures of a home for sale in a small town called Eskilstuna in Sweden. It's a little far, but this place is worth it! ;)
